The poison of fairy tales
is aspiring to live within one...
To chance upon a chivalrous knight,
who shall love only you
as each day blends to night.
To live happily ever after
without feeling unhappy or vexed...
this is virtually impossible, at best!
To burden another with
this unbelievable task,
is cruel unfairness
behind a gilded mask.
One must look within
to find contentment that lasts!

Feeling the capable strength of your hands... Yet knowing how gently you handle my fragile soul.. A quiet pride for the  Amazing man that you are lingers in my mind. Smiling gently up at you As your words drift off to nothing... Cuddling my sleeping angel closer.  My own heaven on Earth.

Fateful Heart   What cruel trick is this.. to love and not receive? To reach for and never touch? Fate wields her spiteful power with an uncaring flick of wrist; and goes about her duty with nary a backward glance. "What of me?", I cry! "Is my pain unworthy of your notice?" "Does my heart's blood upon the floor not garner your attention?" Yet she strolls on, ever the cruel mistress.  I languish here in agony, bereft and alone... Until life wanders past and admonishes, "Come, you must journey on."
